New encounter

You know what, living in the halls (halls is short for halls of residence, which is where I'm staying) I expect to meet all kinds of people from different background. And that is what I got. And I have never expected to meet some of the people that I have actually met.

Prior to this, I thought Yen Ling and I were stingy. To my surprise, I meet someone who is worst than the both of us. He was one of the people within the group that I share groceries with. So usually when we cook, it'll be for a group of 5 and the groceries will be shared 5 ways. So the math was simple - take the total amount and divide by 5. Guess what he did? He actually audited my calculation and went through all the stuff we bought to make sure it is there. I mean can you believe that? He actually went though the receipt, to see which is which. Comparing the receipt to the stuff in the fridge.

Another thing he did that annoys me was that he is the anti-social type. We once invited him to go have dinner at this Monash Pizza and Pasta shop. And you know what was his reply? "Don't want la, I got something to do." I was like "What the heck?" I'm a second year student, and I'm not as busy as he is. Plus, he's in his first year and taking the same unit as I am. And I wasn't as busy as he is. Heck, I could even go for a movie every weekend if I could afford it then.

I'm not saying that he has to go out for a movie every weekend. What I'm trying to point out is that he has to try to relax a little. He has to be a little bit more outgoing. I'm not sure he even plays any sports. The only time I see him is when we go for grocery shopping and meal time. Apart from that, he just lock himself in his room doing god knows what. The funniest thing I find about him during this Easter break is that he has been telling us that he has to do his assignment since the beginning of the holiday, and until now he has yet to complete it. What the hell is he doing in his room then? It took me only 3 days to finish that assignment. haih...

Enough about that. I am just so frustrated these few days and I just want to let off steam. Another thing that I realize is most of my new friends here which are malaysian by the way have help from their parents with their packing and luggage. Some even have their parents followed them over. Me? My parents never touched my breifcase, did not help with packing, and definitely did not follow me over to settle in. That was my wish. So does that make me wierd?

I mean for them, their parents played some part in their moving abroad to study. Me? The only part my parents played was giving me frustration and paying the bills. I'm just like any other ordinary kid, trying to go through university to get a certificate so that I could get a reasonable job. But why am I so different from them in so many ways?

Magdalene's Wedding....

Finally!! The last post for the Lim Family's September 2007 Australian Saga... Posting this on two sites is kind of tiring, (since i had to sort, and edit both posts to fit both blogs, or sentences might have been left hanging etc...)

Although i'm only loading the pictures once, but my connection uploads really, really slow, or i think it's blogger's fault, because even last time (when i was in the UK) when i had to post pictures, it takes eons to load.. so that's it for the Australian trip, and maybe later i will post somthing here bout my tour guide stint for my brother's girlfriend in December.. but that is another story...

As usual, if i post my Malaysian Tour Guide stint, Generation Lim will get a cut down summarised version as compared to my original blog... So, it's something for everyone to look forward too.. (or not....)

But i digress, and now time for the commentary & pictures...

The night before the wedding, saw us being invited to a brewery called the Mash brewery for a round of drinks & snacks sponsored by the bride and groom.. it was a very lively event, as the friends and relatives of the bride and groom sat down together to drink, and chat... (the Snacks weren't bad either..)

It even seemed as if the bride and groom were having a reunion with their friends.. it looked fun, and as for me, i tried different types of brew (beer?).. and discovered there is more to beer than just barley hops, but the combination of many other things.. an interesting event...

The travelling companions (haha, ok part of the Lim Family) all sitting together at a table, enjoying the drink and food... Picture taken by uncle HP, that's why he isn't in it.. :p

The three cousins, with our uncle Robert who decided to join in after seeing us taking some pictures... :p

Unfortunately, i don't really have any pictures of the tea ceremony as PK and the professional photographer were taking the pictures, and from my stand point, it was very hard for me to take the pictures. hence what i have here are the pictures that I took, while waiting for the groom to come over, to begin the tea ceremony....

The golf course spans out behind us.. three cousins, braving the morning's chilly air to take some pictures together...

The bride in her pretty green cheong sam and i... waiting ever so patiently for the groom to come over, for the ceremony to begin...

*****

Later in the morning, after the tea ceremony, all of us bundled into the car, to head to the St. Mary's Catholic Church for the wedding Ceremony, between our cousin Magdalene & Glenn..

The church on the outside, and the father of the bride, waiting for the bride, to walk with her into the church..
The ermm... booklet for the ceremony, stating the bride and groom's names, the date and the church name.. i.e St Mary's church. click to enlarge and read..

After the ceremony, everyone was happily grouping around to celebrate the new happily married couple :p

*****

So much for the church wedding.. Now, on to the Wedding Dinner, which was held in a golf course's (i think, can't remember...) ball room...

it was really romantic, with the chandelier, and all the candles.. it had a quaint feel with all the barrels stocked by the side..

The Lim Family at the wedding dinner..... i should be standing at the back, since i'm kind of tall, and therefore will block people.. but i didn't have time.. as i had to pass my camera to someone to help us take the picture...

A cousin Picture!! Yen ping, Yen Ling, PK and me..

It wasn't a bad night.. though i noticed that compred to Lorena's (my sister's ex-collegue in Prague) that asians are kind of shy to get onto the dance floor to dance, which resulted in me, dragging my cousins out to dance.. (as i m sure Ling and PK will remember :p)

-Oracl3-

Similiar to the post on us touring Australia, this post is similiar, in the sense that it was cross posted & summarised from Oracl3. So for more pictures and for a (possibly) more amusing commentary, click on the links below, to head over to my blog..

Family Trip to Western Australia 130907-230907

On the 13th of September 2007, i headed of to KLIA to meet with my relatives, as we were all heading to Perth to attend our cousin's (Magdalene's) wedding... and to tour Western Australia...

Upon arrival, we were checked into an apartment on a golf course in swan valley (i think that's what it's called, i've forgotten..), where the wedding will be held, and which will be posted about separately..

this is the picture of our first accomodation, a little house on a golf course.. here we have Yen Ling and i, and well the cars which we used to travel in the whole of Western Australia...

Nothing much happened there, except the wedding, which as i said, will be blogged separately...

so after the wedding, we packed everyone, and everything into the two cars.. and off we went!!

*****
Smell the salt in the air!! As we've finally left Perth to start our touring of Western Australia.....

Our first stop was at freemantle, but i labeled it as our second, although theoretically our first stop was perth....

i wanted to sit ala litte mermaid style like i did in Dublin, but the rock wasn't stable.. and i'm not a very good swimmer haha...

as i love the sea, and the salty smell.. this was a nice welcome.. :)

when i saw this, i was like.. what? S.O.Y means Shit on you?? and it's true.. after i asked some other friends (who were studying in Australia..) but this was taken at a pier that we went to eat.. and well it was seafood.. our first seafood encounter.. i don't think i took pictures of the food, because it was gone as soon as it came.. since everyone was hungry...

Yen ling and i, one wearing black, one white.. haha.. ying and yang? this was taken at a honey farm, which we non golf players went to, to pass some time. we thought the scenery behind us looked nice. so there we are.. :p it was kind of warm at that time, so we didn't need our coats :p

*****

Our second stop... brought us close to nature, as we stayed in a cabin located in a forest reserve (we even had a barbeque at the cabin, but as i was too busy helping out, i didn't manage to take pictures... sigh..), and we went to a neighbouring forest reserve (yes, yet another forest, we were surrounded with it..) for the all famous tree top walk...

Unfortunately for us, it was raining before that, and as we all know, when it rains, it's cold... thus we were all bundled in wind proof jackets and we headed up onto the platform, to walk above the ground...

Here we have all the ladies, there is aunt Cindy, me, aunt Alice, yen ping, dai yi, and yen ling...

this was what we walked on... it was really stable and shook ever so slightly with the strongest winds.. here we have yen ping and i.. well we all know that my hands always freeze easily, hence my gloves :p i love my Zara coat :p (my sister bought it for me when i was in Prague, she has a matching coat!! :p )

Once we got off the walk, there is a little trail on the ground which we could walk.. to look at some of the magnificent trees from the ground..

*****

The next reserve we went to, was home to a tree called the Gloucester tree, where there is a tree about 7 storeys high, i think.. and which was used as a look out during olden times for forest fires.. unfortunately i fear heights.. and the steps.. more like a ladder? it wasn't really a ladder, basically it was just thin little steel bars of about 1.5 cm in daimetere, embedded in the tree to form your steps all the way up...

The sign.. click to enlarge and read more.. the pictures of us climbing up the tree is with uncle robert... which i don't have yet... eventhough it's already half a year since our trip (time sure flies..)...

but on the ground we had some fun feeding all the colourful parakeets.. they were so cute and tame, and their claws were really sharp....

***

Im not very sure about this stop, but at some point we did stop at a place called The Gap, a place named after a huge gap between some rocks where the sea water splashes up...

the angle of sun and the burst of waves allowed for this shot to be taken, a beautiful rainbow.. the gap is actually dangerous, and people who are light weighted should not enter alone, or the strong wind could very well blow you into the water, and you may drown...

intially we had difficulties passing through to get to the viewing deck, because water kept splashing down on us like bullets, it hurt, and the wind was harsh... but it was fun, as we screamed and ran from the water haha.. it was freaking cold too...

a family picture of us at the viewing deck of the gap.. well it's kind of hard to say who is who, and some have been blocked.. so i digress haha..

with the angle of the sun, the water catching the brilliance of the light just at the right angle, it was really beautiful...

***
At our next stop, we stayed 2 nights at a nearby farmhouse, owned by a couple who runs this little kangaroo sanctuary for orphaned joeys.. and it's sort of like an attraction for tourists.. this was on the day we were leaving the farmhouse for our next destination...

Little joey drinking from a bottle of milk... :p

a little joey.. so cute..

***

Our next stop was at Cape Leeuwin.. a light house.. a beacon of light for those who thread the seas....

The information of the light house that we saw.. this was my first time seeing a proper light house up close.. though i would have liked to climb up and take a look too...

Up close with the light house, where two oceans meet.. where the indian ocean... and southern ocean meet...

After enjoying the breeze, and the scenery it was again, time to hit the roads, for out next stop...

***

Cliff Spackman - Jewel Cave...

The picture above explains the cave we went to..

after descending a flight of stone steps, one is greeted by this...

Like a big monster's mouth welcoming you to enter its stomach.. haha.. but pretty nevertheless..

The light which illuminated the caves, as can be seen gives it a glorious effect.. it's beautiful... in some ways i was comparing it to the ice cave in the alps.. but they both have their beauty.. and this was breathtaking.. though at some point it felt kind of errie.. haha..

***
at our next place there didn't seem to be much to do there, so uncle HP took the girls out for a boat ride...

Here i am trying my hand at the wheel.. it was really fun, but if you aren't careful you could make everyone seasick haha Yen ling, yen ping and i, all had a try at it.. spinning the wheel left than right to make the boat go straight... Captain Jack Sparrow?? Raawwrrr... :p

The view behind me, of the lake.. behind me is sort of like a little jetty, there is an island in the middle of the lake, with houses which cost a bomb, but are very secure, only rich people can afford a house on that island, they don't even have any shops there, and the residents of the island, have to frequently take this boat across the water just to go to work, or get their groceries.. expensive, and troublesome if you asked me.. though in some ways i guess it's nice, because the island was like a natural reserve, with loads of greenery...

***

I can't remember where this was, (i think it's near our accomodation..) but we stopped to snap some shots, and i caught a nice one with the sunset :p

***

I recall that on our last day, we headed out to Bussleton Jetty... it had a lovely view, and i love the smell of salt in the air...

The sign... i actually had quite a nice shot of yen ling and i standing on either side, but i don't know where i put it, or why didn't i pick it for the blog.. but no matter.. guess i was too lazy to upload so many pictures to start with... :p

The aforementioned Jetty behind me, apparently it has an underwater viewing station, to view the marine life.. but i recall it being closed or something.. so we had no choice; we went into their souvenier shop, snapped some pictures and we left to continue our journey..

***

On our way to sydney, we stopped by a park..looks interesting, doesn't it?

it was like a tiny island on a body of water, a lovely sight indeed :) there were children playing, and there were even dogs too.. a nice place to chill..

***

Our last stop before entering the city of Sydney, was a garden located just slightly on the outskirts of the city... This garden seemed more like a jogging path though... As it had paths winding round for you to walk...

The Picture says it all

Aunt Cindy, Dai yi, Yen Ping, Yen Ling, Me, & Uncle Robert

Taking a picture together, Uncle HP was the one taking this picture, while Aunt Alice.. well, let's just don't go there haha...

***

After a little walk at the garden, we all hopped into our cars and headed to Sydney for dinner...

Our last meal in Australia. Seafood yet again.. i must say Australia does have some really good FRESH seafood :p
Picture taken by Yen Ping. We have from left, Aunt Cindy, Uncle Robert, Dai Yi, from right, Me, Yen Ling, Aunt Alice, & Uncle HP

After that we headed off to.... where did we head off too.. damn my memory fails me.. i think our flight was after that? (Ling help me refresh my memory..) So we went to the airport, returned the cars, checked in, and you know normal airport stuff..

while waiting for our flight, we decided to play around :p Cute no? hehe
Here we have Yen Ping and I

And after that it was our flight home, a grueling 7 hour or was it that long? maybe longer, flight for me, who was kind of tired of flights, as before that i was travelling extensively around europe...

I almost declined this trip to Australia as i was tired of travelling, but i'm glad i didn't, i had my fun there :)

best of all i enjoyed all the seafood we had there.. but it's all very high in cholestoral.. thank goodness i'm still young and healthy :p

-Oracl3-

This trip has also been cross posted on Oracl3.. with more pictures, and with a more elaborate commentary.. (and also a lot of grammatical and spelling errors, because i didn't edit it before posting, and i posted them all at some ungodly hour, thus was tired and sleepy...) there is also a post dedicated to the food, we ate while on our journey..

Though the pictures here and there will be the same, (as i was lazy...) as Oracl3 is my blog, so most of the pictures are of me.. and i still haven't acquired the other pictures from my other relatives... hence the lack of pictures as well..

though when i sorted them through to be posted, i only had my blog in mind and not this.. hence the seemingly narccisstic side of me haha.. but oh well. for more pictures, and a longer commentary, help yourselves to the links below...

By the way most of the group pictures were taken by uncle robert (i think) so i still don't have the pictures from him, hence the lack of group pictures... or i would have liked to post more since this is a family blog after all.... if i ever get my hands on it, and if the slide show goes up, i will post it there..

Be warned

I've finally gotten around (more like remembered...) to sorting the australian pictures, and have started to blog about them on my blog --> Oracl3

I'll be cross posting here, a cut down, edited version of what i'm posting on my blog... but as we went to australia for 10 days and not to mention we went to a lot of places.. so be warned that my next post on GL, if it's the Australian post; will be long, and there will be quite a number of pictures. so if your bandwith is a money sucker.. i'm sorry, live with it.. haha..

Also as the travels itself was so damn bloody long. Our cousin, Magdalene's wedding, will be in a separate post...when and if i get down to it, that is..

most of the pictures that will be shown on my australian post unfortunately, will be similiar to the one on oracle, except oracle will have more pictures... reason being, my bandwith sucks, and i'm too lazy to upload to both sides, when i can jsut upload to one, and just cut and paste the html...

so yeah, i'm lazy... (how many times have i said that =.=')

Well, that's all for now.. i was considering separating the australian post to two for this blog.. considering its absurd length, but yes.. yet again.. i'm lazy.. haha

so happy easter everyone.. and await the australian trip :p

Tsk, tsk..

Youths now adays, really have no interest in exercising their rights.. sigh...

The votes have been tallied, with only one person who voted.. (it's not me, but i know who it is..), if you add my vote in.. that's 2 votes that says that we will have a slide who.. it's a 2-0 win..

So the slide show will go up... as for now, i m still waiting to hear from my friend about the new layout.. and my days will be busier now.. as my revision classess are nearing. sigh.. but that's all..

Just reporting the results of the poll..

Meditaranean Heat, Meditaranean Temper and most of all Meditaranean STRIKES!!

Καλι σπερα Ελλαδα!!!! (Good afternoon Greece)

Well, well, I think this is my first post from me. And as some of you might already know; for my sister especially, I have arrived in Athens, GREECE!. Yep, the land of blue sea, good food, Greek loudness and most of all GREEK POLITICS!.

Well, my first experience in this place I won't say that it is not good. I have to say, for Greek Standards, it went pretty smoothly. I started my new job on Monday. Running around sorting out my legal issues and administration issue. 3 days at work, and things are going smoothly I think. TILL, I ARRIVE TO WORK EARLY THIS MORNING!??? Electricity went out. Why? Well the Greeks are on strike. Which is most annoying, and my bad timing adding on to it. The reason for the strike as most of you might have already read in BBC , if not, go there. It is due to the government wanting to increase the retirement age, but decrease the pension funds. That is what I hear, but based on BBC, it seems that everything looks positive. I don't know. The Greeks react to almost everything.

So, what happened. Monday everything went on smoothly. Went to the police station, to get some documents notarized and continue working. Tuesday, GOD DAMN IT! Tuesday was so bad, because the train service was on strike, so everyone had to take their car, the bus or to take the taxi.

It took me like 30 minutes to wave for a taxi to get to work and to get back as well. Sigh...And followed by that; when I went back, my friend, Ioanna who was at my place told me the power went off. I was like. Ok.. Here I am frustrated that I cannot hail a cab to go back, but to add on top of that, there is no power.

Lucky for me, it went back on after I reached home after 15 minutes when I had lit so many candles. haha..but its ok. At least Ioanna got the ones that smelt nice with vanilla flavor. Then today, everything was on strike. ALL PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION!!

Mind you, the place I stay is very convenient with buses and metro everywhere. I have two metros which is like 5-10 minutes walking distance to work and the office is only 2 stops away from the station. So, I came into work. Set up my computer...and BLACKOUT! haha...surprisingly I remained so calm that I was like..hmm..whatever... So, this is the beginning of my journey.

I have no idea what the 4th day will be for me. But we will see. So far, I have to get used to the people, the environment and the STRIKES....hehe

Besides that, my friends have been helping me alot. My co workers are nice. It's still too early to say, but this is as far as I can go. :)

Since this is my first post, I am not going to dwell on it too much. To let you guys know, if you want to reach me, my mobile number is +30 xxx xxx xxxx. I will get a second number soon, hopefully by next week, depending on when the company will give it to me. But any one of you wanting to come for a meditaranean tour, let me know.

Φιλακια Πολλα (Many kisses)

Take care...cioa..

Edited By Oracl3: Lil Devil's Mobile number has been removed, because I fear online predators, and the hassles it will bring. Since we are all family; if you want her number that badly, catch her on MSN.
Though this raises the issue of whether, we should start making this blog private. It is an issue I will look into, and maybe set up a poll.. but first, let us settle the issue about the slide show.. Thanks..

Due date for polls

I don't seem to be getting any feedback from our authors.. or... readers.. but please remember to cast your vote for the slide show located 2 posts below this. The due date to cast your votes is by this coming Sunday, ie the 23rd of march.

Well that's all... i hope for more participation from the members on this blog!!

Greetings!!!

As the title suggests, this is to welcome those newcomers. Although there's only one so far, I wouldn't fancy doing another elongated post just to welcome people. It's too troublesome. So I'll do it in one post snd when there's newcomers in the future, they can just refer to this post. Either that or I'll just repost this again. haahhahahaha!!!!

Well, the purpose of this blog has been stressed quite a couple of times on separated occasions. It is to help bridge the gap among those within the family. Those who are in what we now call - Generation L. The contributors of this blog does not only limit to our generation. Our older generation can also contribute if they want, or I should rather say if they are up to the task of learning how to use this. I really do not mind that as the more contributors there are, the merrier this blog seems, and that is what the Lim family trully represents - noise.

Irregardless of physical distance or age distance, we san still forge a close knit among us. That is the one and only mission and vision of this blog. At least that's what I think it is. Anyone care to correct me if I'm wrong? Or add in what I have left out? Things do change over time you know? And I might have a different thinking and perception of the main purpose of this blog to others. So maybe we should list out the purpose, missiong and vision of this blog. hahahahahaha!!!!!!

Anyway, welcome one and all and feel free to post anything here. Jokes, nonsense, life's troubles, anything you like. Just try to keep it clean. Well actually, there's no need for that yet as all the contributors and readers I'm sure are of age. If you are not, then you are not authorised to view this page. Naw!!! I'm just joking. If you are under age, please make sure that you have parental guidance for the use or enjoyment of this information. Naw!! Again, I'm joking. Actually, you can view it all you want. Frankly, I would suggest they do because children these days are just too well protected by their parents. So as the older generation (we are actually not that old), we should do our duty to 'educate' those entrusted under us. hahahahaha!!! Yet another purpose to add to the list (if there is ever a list).

Well, I guess that's it from me. Until next time, See ya!!!

Welcome Lil' Devil!!

020ATTENTION: All Members. Please remember to cast your votes regarding the slide show in the post below this!!

The title says it all...
It is somewhat belated, but nevertheless, welcome to our newest author Lil' Devil. 073

Here's a short fact for some lost souls. Lil' Devil is non other than Oracl3's beloved older sister...034
Soooo sorry to rub it in sis, but i'm no longer the oldest here, muahaha..035
Go get an older cousin to join 016

**Oh, because my MSN is being a pain, and I'm forced into using adium, I've been deprived of using my beloved onion head emoticons, thus it's overkill on my blog and its importation into this blog051. But I promise to try to keep it to a minimum here... Besides, aren't they cute?017 Be thankful I'm not spouting Japanese here...052Though I just might start one day035**

Anyway, if you think I'm loud and talkative, then beware of my sister.. 053 though she is lazier than me when it comes to blogs.. But we welcome her and await a post from her, which hopefully is somewhere next week, as she is currently busy...

But I won't spoil it for you, if you want to know what she's busy with, then check out her post... When she gets down to it!! 070

-Oracl3-

Results!!

Okay, okay, I know that I'm a day late in tallying our polling results for the two suggestions. To know why, jump over to my blog, the political situation has turned really exciting in Malaysia, with a huge wind of change that has brought about a shocking tsunami to our Malaysian government.

A totally unexpected result, from the Malaysians...

So enough of that (means if you want to know more, read my blog..), and we shall now look to the decisions of our citizens of Generation-L on the two decisions posed to them:

1. Should we have the player on autoplay? &
2. Shall we have a slideshow on this blog, featuring family photos, gatherings etc?

The results for the 1st poll has come out as a plain and simple.. "NO"

We had 6 voters, and 4 out of 2 had said that they don't want the player on autoplay. Well I do admit, that it will slow down the bandwith, and it loads as it plays, so the song sounds sort of broken, and irritating.. That, I guess was our main reason...

Verdict: It's plain and simple, it's democratic, so we follow along with the wishes of those who exercised their right to vote. The player remains as it is.

For the second poll... ahh, for this we have a huge difficulty, as it seems that our voters are only interested in the player, and they didn't vote about the slide show. It could be that they are still deciding, but a decision is indeed hard to reach when you've only had 4 voters and 2 have voted "Yes", and the other 2 "No"..

It's a tie and it's impossible to make a decision.

Thus a new poll will be held to determine, if we shall have a slide show featuring our family pictures. Here are the details, to aid the rest of you in making an informed choice.

1. The site which i will be using to put up the slide show will www.slide.com, check it out.

2. I'll create the account, and give each of our authors, the ID and password.

3. The authors themselves must upload the pictures that they wish to be on the slide show
--> Reason being, I personally don't have all the family pictures, or your pictures, and we don't meet often. This is way more convienent.

4. If you would like a sample of how it will look like on this blog , head over to Oracl3 to check it out. When the new blog layout is done, it will most probably be similar to Oracl3 as it will be done by the same person. So the slide show on this blog will be in the same position as that.

5. I profess that, I'm not very sure about this, as i haven't used slide.com for over a year, but most probably, after uploading the pictures, the html codes on this blog needs to be refreshed. (unlike the music player) If you know how to handle html codes, you could do it yourself, or you could drop me a message, and I will do it when I'm free.

6. To be fair, each member will only be allowed to upload a certain number of pictures. This is to be revised later, and following my discretion as this blog's moderator.

But don't worry, this quota is just to ensure that everyone gets to upload the pictures that he or she wants. If you have exceeded your quota, based on my discretion, and the number of pictures posted, I may grant you permission..

Note--> However, this quota requirement will only be placed into practise if we have too many pictures on the slideshow.. So basically it's just to control an overflow..

So now, on to our poll.. Please ensure that everyone votes, so that we can reach a consensus..

The same rules apply, you may only cast your vote once, so think carefully!!

~~
Unfortunately for me, my attempts in roping in our other cousins of the Lim family has not been very successful, I therefore appeal to the other authors to do your part, (even if you consider your sibling a brat, just invite them in, they are still family) and help to rope in our other cousins to contribute to the blog.

The author's work is fairly simple:

1. Just post about yourself

2. Just post about what is going on around you, where are you now, any new adventures, how's life, how are your kids etc.. (There's plenty of things to write.. Share your pretty pictures, you can even be poetic here..)

3. Family gossips are allowed based on discretion, this is the World Wide Web, we don't want to launder our dirty laundry.
--> BUT please note, if we garneer enough authors, (And also if there are too many dirty secrets getting out haha) this blog may be made private, and the only people who may enter to read this blog will be the people that we choose.

4. Basically, use this place to bond with the other cousins, to tell the other cousins how you are doing etc

5. Please keep all posts decent enough for general viewing, because as dirty as you might want to get, some of our cousins are still, if contributing or reading, of minor age.. haha.. though we could educate them?? haha

Well, that's all for now, remember no matter how busy you are, it doesn't hurt to spare some time for family :)

Generation Lim's Elections??

Here's our very own poll,

Well 2, to be exact.. like the real elections, you will have to cast two votes.. and you can't vote again, so think hard and think well.. (i sure hope the codes for the poll works.. )

votes will b counted on the 9th of march 2008 haha :p

1. Should we let the player which in case you haven't noticed on the side bar.... play automatically when people enter the page, or shall we leave it as it is, ie it will only play when someone clicks on it.

2. Should we put up a slideshow? i can make the account, but the pictures will have to come from everybody, so you will all have the ID and password.. but the thing with is that, if i'm not wrong..once you have posted the pictures, i will have to be notified to settle the html part, unless you can do it yourself..

Elections!!

Before i start, i would like to inform everyone that i have added another author, who will hopefully contribute to this blog :) so for some homework to the current bloggers (oh yes you know who you are..), when the next author is added, let us all write a welcome post for her each, and the new blogger has to write a short post introducing herself.. :)

Elections in Malaysia are just around the corner.. March 8 2008, the same day as Woman's Day!!

Who should we vote for? currently in my area out of all the parties, the parties which are battling the fiercest are

Tony Pua from DAP

&

BN's Chew Mei Fun

Who's going to win? i have no idea, seems that a lot of today's youths are trying to deny BN a 2/3 majority.. what will the turn out be..? by all honesty i haven't a clue haha.. ( but i will report that later)

for more on my ideas as to which party i support... or more like the lack of it... hop on over to 未来が見える

so far among the 3 writers here, i am the only one who is a registered voter, unless ling registered the moment she turned 21, which i doubt she did haha...

so the both of you, start thinking and keep your eyes peeled for the next election, where you will both be eligble to vote.. or you will end up like me, being in such a dilemma :p

seems like Ben has been doing quite well, in Australia so far, missing only his car... what bout your co authors? haha..

Ling seems busy with work, and she still owes us a proper and nice long post...

on another note.. due to exams, my friend hasn't had much time to do the layout and design of the blog, and also due to my own time contraints and classes, and lousy internet connection, i haven't been online off late, and have yet to manage putting up the music player. but i will get down to it as soon as possible.

till then, continue enjoying yourself ben, and work hard ling :)

all the best, i have to start studying too, cause my revision classes are just around the corner..

still waiting for my letter from the Malaysian Bar Council, hope i get it.

Ganbatte Everyone :)

p/s: when i m free i will try to upload some pictures and videos of our trip to perth :) and of our cousin Magdalene's wedding :) look forward to that :)
