After Exam Trip...

I realise that it's been quite some time since someone posted here. So I guess I'll reinitiate this blog then. Well, I just got back from my trip to Gold Coast and Sydney yesterday. Been busy washing up all my dirty clothes, and also packing for my final flight this year - back to Malaysia. It's been a hectic week, but I have enjoyed it very much.

Going on holidays is always a happy thing. More so if you are going with your friends. I don't know why, but it is just different from going with your family. With family, of course you don't have to worry much about the amount of money you spent throughout the trip as you don't have to pay for it. But going on yourself with your friends, you have to look at what you spend. I practically recorded every single transaction I made throughout the whole trip. And I was shocked to find out that I actually spent a shit load of money.

With my friends, I can do whatever I want, I can go wherever I want to. I do not have to follow my parents wherever they go and not being able to see what I want to see, do what I want to do. It's like a bittersweet thing. Going on this trip with this bunch of friends, I learn a lot of new stuff about them, and they too learn a lot of stuff from me. I was able to see how they live, how they handle themselves when they are travelling, and how they cope with everything.

Spending a full 8 days with them, I find that I am more prepared in travelling alone compared to some of them, I pack way too much as compared to them, and I am able to plan ahead better than them. To sum up, I am better at anticipating stuff at them maybe? They do not know when to take risk, when to play it safe. But they pulled through with their own way. So I guess that is what matters right? It doens't matter if you do it right or wrong, as long as you get the job done.

Anyways, spending time with them makes me understand them more. Some good, some bad. Believe me, I didn't want to see the bad side of them, but I did. I guess that's what they say "you won't know a person well enough until you have stayed with them". I guess it's back to packing, I'll be seeing you guys soon enough. Can't wait for that moment.
