Inter Halls Badminton
As you can see above, that's me playing badminton. I represented my hall in the Inter Halls Badminton Competition. I just can't keep my ass away. Ha ha ha!!! My hand is itchy. I just need to play some. It's been a long time since I have played competitively. But it's not that long that I have played badminton. I can say I play more regularly than I do back in Malaysia. Here I play every Tuesday and Friday. And sometimes if I feel like it I'll even play on Sunday.
It is mixed doubles only, and the format is round robin. Which is you play a certain amount of games, in this case that's 6 and you see where you're standing on the table. Then the top for will advance to the semi-finals. Supposedly, each pair is only to play 1 game, or maybe 2 games at most. But for me, out of the 8 games that my hall were involved in, I played 4 games. Why? I was considered the best player in the hall. ~savouring the moment~ Can you believe it? The best player?
So my record was 2 wins and 2 losses in the entire competition, and my hall came in third overall. I could have actually got probably second if I could have gotten a better partner. Well, I can't complain much. The halls are actually short on talent anyways. So nothing much can be done. If Yen Ling were here, I think first is not a problem. But too bad.
They will have this Inter Halls Swimming Competition coming up though. As the ever competitive Ben, I'm definitely going to join that although I do not know how they are going to do it. This will mean I will have to start swimming again. It's been a couple of months that I have not swim. I'll need weeks to get back to the way I was swimming before, and I'll need more time to be swimming competitively without any coaching. This is going to be a hell of a few weeks.
