Just came back from our family gathering at eldest aunt's house (dai yee). As usual every1 eat, drink, talk, talk louder, joke, a bit of dirty jokes, kids gamble, younger kids running around everywhere then parents asking them to stop running so fast. So means that the kids can run everywhere just not that fast... =.=
This year was a bit different eldest uncle (dai yee jiong) gave a magic performance after we sang the birthday song for Aidan and Sue Ling jie jie.
Every1 gathered round and watch him giving the performance... we laughed cheered and oohh-ed as the performance went on. Althought some performance are easy to catch if only u have a good eye, ppl like my father would be tricked easily. hehe. However, most of his tricks were pretty amazing. *applause*
All in all, had a great time going for these family gatherings is really fun and relaxing because this group of ppl are all crazy and crazier after they start drinking. =)

Goodbyes and Thank yous...
It is very hard to say goodbye if you know that you are not going to see people that you cared about for a considerable amount of time. I realized that I was very bad at goodbyes during my recent Johor Bahru trip. When the thought of not seeing someone for a long time came to my mind, tears become inevitable.
I really want to thank those that went to the airport to see me off, and also those who have helped me in preparing to go overseas. Honestly, i have had more help than Ben..haha..I have wei sun lending me her winter wear, giving advice on what to bring, what not to bring, what to look out for. It really came in handy. Thanks to Ben also, for lending me his laptop, webcam and all the sap sap sui electronic stuff.
I have ex-colleagues giving me a surprise visit in the airport, one of them even came all the way from JB right after work just to see me off. And there was also my god brother who made a video clip for me to see just in case i was home sick in UK. I really appreciated all that..
I am very thankful that I have so many people that cared and helped. Everyone, Thank you!!! I will take care of myself in UK. Dont worry.

After Exam Trip...
I realise that it's been quite some time since someone posted here. So I guess I'll reinitiate this blog then. Well, I just got back from my trip to Gold Coast and Sydney yesterday. Been busy washing up all my dirty clothes, and also packing for my final flight this year - back to Malaysia. It's been a hectic week, but I have enjoyed it very much.
Going on holidays is always a happy thing. More so if you are going with your friends. I don't know why, but it is just different from going with your family. With family, of course you don't have to worry much about the amount of money you spent throughout the trip as you don't have to pay for it. But going on yourself with your friends, you have to look at what you spend. I practically recorded every single transaction I made throughout the whole trip. And I was shocked to find out that I actually spent a shit load of money.
With my friends, I can do whatever I want, I can go wherever I want to. I do not have to follow my parents wherever they go and not being able to see what I want to see, do what I want to do. It's like a bittersweet thing. Going on this trip with this bunch of friends, I learn a lot of new stuff about them, and they too learn a lot of stuff from me. I was able to see how they live, how they handle themselves when they are travelling, and how they cope with everything.
Spending a full 8 days with them, I find that I am more prepared in travelling alone compared to some of them, I pack way too much as compared to them, and I am able to plan ahead better than them. To sum up, I am better at anticipating stuff at them maybe? They do not know when to take risk, when to play it safe. But they pulled through with their own way. So I guess that is what matters right? It doens't matter if you do it right or wrong, as long as you get the job done.
Anyways, spending time with them makes me understand them more. Some good, some bad. Believe me, I didn't want to see the bad side of them, but I did. I guess that's what they say "you won't know a person well enough until you have stayed with them". I guess it's back to packing, I'll be seeing you guys soon enough. Can't wait for that moment.

i guess this will be very first official post since the last one was so short, plus there wasn't much substance in there either. I know when this is posted, there will definitely be 2 people saying, " FINALLY!! This lazy woman finally wanna contribute something..". Haha. Am i right?? =)
Well, anyway I just finished my exams. It feels kind of relax, but at the same time quite worried about the results. Not feeling very confident for today's paper, Business Analysis. I hate this subject. Too bad it's a core paper, means i don't have a choice not to take it.
I have got two weeks holiday. Going to Port Dickson this weekend, then coming back on Monday. For some reason, I am not very keen on going. Sigh..I wonder why sometimes. During the two weeks, will probably go eat lunch with my Deloitte gang, then have a movie with Sun. Dunno what else to do. My holidays last time used to be full with plans. This holiday just seems so boring. I seem to be losing a lot of enthusiasm lately, I hope it's temporary. Ben and Ah Sun, please cure me!!!! Haha..
Okie, sorry if the entry was kinda boring. But at least i fulfilled my 'debt'. I don't want some people always saying that i owe them a blog entry. hahahah...
That's all for my payment of 'debt' for today. Ciao!!

Family Dinner
Cross-posted on Oracl3 with a different commentary...
Yet another family dinner... Not that i'm tired of it.. haha.. But well, that's all I post about here haha..
So okay down to business. on the 23rd of August 2008, we went for dinner at a place called Hakka Restaurant, located behind The Pavillion.... To have steamboat [that's hot pot to some people]... There was a lot of food, as is usual.. and well.. we ate till we were bursting to the seams..
But I didn't find it at all interesting to take pictures of something so common such as a steamboat so there are non, we only have pictures of our relatives..
Oh yes.. I nearly forgot... The purpose of such a dinner? Well,we all know we have dinners for a reason now in this family. . Haha.. Well the purpose was that we had relatives from Tien Men, China 天門 中國 visiting us.. they are children from our grandfather's first wife in China..
Here we have my mom, the younger aunt from China and our cousin brother from China, with Ben's dad a.k.a our uncle...
The older aunt from China.. She doesn't speak anything but her local dialect.. so communication was sort of a problem...
Okay let's not forget the other two cousins who braved the rain for this dinner with us haha.. Yen Ping & Fiona..
And viola.. we have the toilet picture here hahaha.. *Do I hear Ling's protest??* ahaha too bad.. since she is the lazy contributor of GL keke :p

Both relatives spoke their local dialect and mandarin.. and I heard that our uncle was really entertaining haha I also heard that this aunt in the picture above is about the same age as Ben's mom... how old that is.. I've no idea haha... A women's age is a secret ahah But I do know she is a teacher, and that our Cousin brother is a hawker...

Ling & I had a blast of a time.. playing around calling each other stupid... and hearing each other's stories etc.. sorry Ben.. You missed out on that one :p hehe.. Well, wait till you get back ok? :p
If not for Ling.. I think I might have stonned there haha.. so we did stupid things like taking pictures in the toilet.. maybe I should upload that.. I bet Ling wouldn't even realise haha well look below it's down there haha...
Since we were at KL with such a pretty view.. we ought to take advantage of it.. though the building was blocking the Twin towers somewhat... If it weren't for the rain, we would actually be having dinner under KL's night sky..If not for Ling.. I think I might have stonned there haha.. so we did stupid things like taking pictures in the toilet.. maybe I should upload that.. Family Potluck 301207
Cross posted on Oracl3
On the 30th of December 2007, our family decided to have a pot luck dinner at my place. Well, as Christmas cum New year celebration, since my brother would be busy on the 31st of December... Look at the amount of food.. I'm sure we all remember the food. Yummy :p
