I realized that I was very bad at goodbyes during my recent Johor Bahru trip. When the thought of not seeing someone for a long time came to my mind, tears become inevitable.

I really want to thank those that went to the airport to see me off, and also those who have helped me in preparing to go overseas. Honestly, i have had more help than Ben..haha..I have wei sun lending me her winter wear, giving advice on what to bring, what not to bring, what to look out for. It really came in handy. Thanks to Ben also, for lending me his laptop, webcam and all the sap sap sui electronic stuff.

I have ex-colleagues giving me a surprise visit in the airport, one of them even came all the way from JB right after work just to see me off. And there was also my god brother who made a video clip for me to see just in case i was home sick in UK. I really appreciated all that..

I am very thankful that I have so many people that cared and helped. Everyone, Thank you!!! I will take care of myself in UK. So I guess I'll reinitiate this blog then. Well, I just got back from my trip to Gold Coast and Sydney yesterday. Been busy washing up all my dirty clothes, and also packing for my final flight this year - back to Malaysia. It's been a hectic week, but I have enjoyed it very much.

Going on holidays is always a happy thing. More so if you are going with your friends. I don't know why, but it is just different from going with your family. With family, of course you don't have to worry much about the amount of money you spent throughout the trip as you don't have to pay for it. But going on yourself with your friends, you have to look at what you spend. I practically recorded every single transaction I made throughout the whole trip. And I was shocked to find out that I actually spent a shit load of money.

With my friends, I can do whatever I want, I can go wherever I want to. I do not have to follow my parents wherever they go and not being able to see what I want to see, do what I want to do. It's like a bittersweet thing. Going on this trip with this bunch of friends, I learn a lot of new stuff about them, and they too learn a lot of stuff from me. I was able to see how they live, how they handle themselves when they are travelling, and how they cope with everything.

Spending a full 8 days with them, I find that I am more prepared in travelling alone compared to some of them, I pack way too much as compared to them, and I am able to plan ahead better than them. To sum up, I am better at anticipating stuff at them maybe? They do not know when to take risk, when to play it safe. But they pulled through with their own way. So I guess that is what matters right? It doens't matter if you do it right or wrong, as long as you get the job done.

Anyways, spending time with them makes me understand them more. Some good, some bad. Believe me, I didn't want to see the bad side of them, but I did. I guess that's what they say "you won't know a person well enough until you have stayed with them". I guess it's back to packing, I'll be seeing you guys soon enough. Can't wait for that moment.

i guess this will be very first official post since the last one was so short, plus there wasn't much substance in there either. I know when this is posted, there will definitely be 2 people saying, " FINALLY!! This lazy woman finally wanna contribute something..". Haha. Am i right?? =)

Well, anyway I just finished my exams. It feels kind of relax, but at the same time quite worried about the results. Not feeling very confident for today's paper, Business Analysis. I hate this subject. Too bad it's a core paper, means i don't have a choice not to take it.

I have got two weeks holiday. Going to Port Dickson this weekend, then coming back on Monday. For some reason, I am not very keen on going. Sigh..I wonder why sometimes. During the two weeks, will probably go eat lunch with my Deloitte gang, then have a movie with Sun. Dunno what else to do. My holidays last time used to be full with plans. This holiday just seems so boring. I seem to be losing a lot of enthusiasm lately, I hope it's temporary. Ben and Ah Sun, please cure me!!!! Haha..

Okie, sorry if the entry was kinda boring. But at least i fulfilled my 'debt'. Not that i'm tired of it.. haha.. But well, that's all I post about here haha..

So okay down to business. on the 23rd of August 2008, we went for dinner at a place called Hakka Restaurant, located behind The Pavillion.... To have steamboat [that's hot pot to some people]... There was a lot of food, as is usual.. and well.. we ate till we were bursting to the seams..

But I didn't find it at all interesting to take pictures of something so common such as a steamboat so there are non, we only have pictures of our relatives..

Oh yes.. I nearly forgot... The purpose of such a dinner? Well,we all know we have dinners for a reason now in this family. . Haha.. Well the purpose was that we had relatives from Tien Men, China 天門 中國 visiting us.. they are children from our grandfather's first wife in China..

Our Aunts [Ben & Lings's moms included haha] with our granduncle

Here we have my mom, the younger aunt from China and our cousin brother from China, with Ben's dad a.k.a our uncle...

Both relatives spoke their local dialect and mandarin.. and I heard that our uncle was really entertaining haha I also heard that this aunt in the picture above is about the same age as Ben's mom... how old that is.. I've no idea haha... A women's age is a secret ahah But I do know she is a teacher, and that our Cousin brother is a hawker...

The older aunt from China.. She doesn't speak anything but her local dialect.. so communication was sort of a problem...

Ling & I had a blast of a time.. playing around calling each other stupid... and hearing each other's stories etc.. sorry Ben.. You missed out on that one :p hehe.. Well, wait till you get back ok? :p

If not for Ling.. Buller
Day: 18 – 20 July

What started off as a Malaysian club expedition to Mt. Buller ended up as a International expedition. With students coming not only from Malaysia, but China and Thailand soon joined in on the dun. The first event of the second semester of 2008 started off on a gloomy and wet day. As for the mood of the participants – sleepy, as we were required to gather at 7.30 am on a Friday morning. On any other day, one would start a Friday at noon. Well, one has to sacrifice for the sake of enjoyment. It was rather a good start to the day as everyone gathered relatively on time with all their bags and food with one exception. In the rush of being on time, 1 participant who goes by the name Cheang Wai Leong forgot all his stuff less his clothes.

Upon arriving at Mt. Buller, everyone settled in within the lodge as it provided some warmth and at the same time freshen up from the 4 hours bus ride. Rooms were assigned to everyone and then there was the all-important lunch. Choices were given to the members to have anything they want. After everyone was well fed, a snowball fight broke out. It was a dangerous place to be as who you thought to be your friend might just be your foe. As snowballs were flying in all directions, so did laughter, as a person’s demise is another person’s entertainment. With fun, time always flies by and it was time to gather everyone to collect his or her equipment.

Just like any other events, ice-breaking activities are a must. This trip is no exception. Everyone was required to introduce a little bit about him or her, and later on follow by a memory game. It was slow at first as everyone was trying to grasp the concept of the game. As it progressed, it got faster and more enjoyable not only for those who are still in the game, but for those who are out of it as well. Some wrong doers were punished for not acting in a certain manner as required by the game. A Thai student was required to do a Thai dance as she did not ducked when her name was called. Our very own Mak was required to sing “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” for the very same reason. Another was asked to do the penguin walk twice. And lastly, for not stepping out of the way, one was asked to consume a fair amount of water in one go.

On the second day of this expedition, it was time for us to do what we came for – ski and or snowboard. Our day started off at 9am with a 2 hours lesson on how to ski and snowboard. After the lessons were done and dusted, it was free and easy. Overall, everyone enjoyed themselves although there was a fair bit of falling on their behind. The casualty report for this day would be 2 injured, 0 death. From a group of 35, this is a very good ratio. One could not ask for more. After returning their ski equipment at 4.30 pm, it was free and easy for everyone as there was no scheduled activities. That did not stop the group having fun on themselves.

On the last day, 10 of us went for archery and rock climbing. It was relative fun, but disappointment was expressed with the equipment and facilities. It was not up to everyone’s expectation. With that aside, everyone who went for it still found ways of entertaining themselves with what was a available. Our worst sharpshooter was our very own president with negative scores. And our best climber was Ernest with a time of 49 seconds, climing up a height, which was equivalent to 4 storeys high.

To sum up the trip, it was a total success all thanks to the brilliance and coordination of our very own Nicholas Chong. It was him that planned all the activities, it was him that made the trip available for everyone, and it was him who made it possible for everyone to have a time of their lives. Without caring much of his own personal enjoyment, he selflessly made the trip a success. Even our lodge manager, Michael said that and I quote “In the 4 years that I have been the manager of this lodge, this is by far the most organized group I have ever seen.” That is why, one would like to thank him for organizing this trip. And one would also like to thank Mak in advance for the beautiful pictures that he took. Without him, we would not have much pitures to look back to in the future.

Cherish!!!

I've learned a few things since I have been here - The Land Down Under. These 5 months has been enlightening for me. Very very enlightening. I've meet new friends. Learn new things from these new friends as well. New experience, new thinking techniques, new analytical style. Along with all that, I have learned to cherish a few things as well.

One of them is the value of money. It's not that I don't treasure it before. It's just that I have learn to treasure it more lately. I have learn the ability to differentiate when is appropriate to spend and when is not the time. To tell the truth, before this I always spend on impulse. Only on rare occassions that I can differentiate between needs and wants. Now, I am able to differentiate that better.

Another thing I learn to cherish lately is friendship. One would never understand the full calue of friendship until one is in trouble. We tend to take friendships for granted at times. Never fully appreciating it. Isn't that the theme of us human? We always take things for granted. Until the moment when we lose it, people start to realise the importance of it. And it comes from all kind of places. It could be the new friend that you know in tutorial, it could be the person you just happened to talk to in a line.

I have also started to cherish the happy, spontaneous and crazy times I used to have with my cousins. Although we just started to be so close lately, but we always create new and happy memories. I cherish them very much. I can't get anything close to that here. In fact, I can't even get anything along the line of that. One of you was supposed to come visit me. But there was a change of plan. I was so looking forward to that. Oh well, life is full of unexpected things.

Great Ocean Road...

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_e2OMNlYqoVI/SHrYKREBTNI/AAAAAAAAAHY/jmaS_OloZ18/s320/DSC_0434.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5222724388780068050" />

Here it is. My post on my trip to the Great Ocean Road. I went there on the 2nd of July. I'm only putting it up now because I was real busy for the past 2 weeks. I have been showing both my friends and new students around Melbourne. Hectic life, and tiring as well. The picture above is Port Campbell. It is sort of the first pitstop of the trip. We stopped to take some pictures, then we started to drive down the Great Ocean Road. But we came back here for lunch and to collect one of my friends wallet as she dropped it here. Luckily someone picked it up and handed it over to the police. Or the trip would have turned sour real fast.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_e2OMNlYqoVI/SHrZYAZYSgI/AAAAAAAAAHg/z-e1tjId5NA/s320/Blowhole+(4).JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5222725724336048642" />

And here you have a picture of the Blowhole. I know, it sounds a little off to me too. This was the first of many stops after Port Campbell.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_e2OMNlYqoVI/SHraEcZBfWI/AAAAAAAAAHo/pLJWpfeuNaM/s320/DSC_0515.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5222726487764991330" />

Here is a picture of the group minus our camera man at the Thunder Cave. The cave is actually located at the other side of the picture, where everyone is facing. But we feel that this is better.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_e2OMNlYqoVI/SHrazDE5USI/AAAAAAAAAHw/eHY7HJ_sbQE/s320/DSC_0519.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5222727288423534882" />

Then we have this place. I think it's the Loch and Gorge. Just another picture opportunity for the whole group. This time with the camera man. I actually feel pity for him. He is supposed to enjoy himself on this trip like everyone else. But end up he has to be the camera man taking this and that. Well, I guess that's the price he has to pay for bunking on my floor for 2 weeks then.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_e2OMNlYqoVI/SHrbS6YVaTI/AAAAAAAAAH4/grj4iuXgaKA/s320/DSC_0521.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5222727835844962610" />

Just another group photo minus the camera man again at the stairs leading to the Loch and Gorge.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_e2OMNlYqoVI/SHrbto4RIzI/AAAAAAAAAIA/Vy92o4B7cZY/s320/P7020780.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5222728295003530034" />

After that, we finally saw what we came here for. The 12 Apostles. But it is no longer 12 though because of erosions. After that, it was just pretty much nothing. We just took a left or right turn into someting that we thought would be interesting but it turned out to be nothing. And in between all that, we got lost. Or rather I got lost as I was leading the whole group in the first car. Yes. I got lost. That's a first. But to be fair, this is the first time I'm driving in Australia, it's the first time I'm venturing out so far from the city, and it's the first time I'm in this country. And I did not have a map. For the whole trip, we just practically follow road signs. If you ask me, it was very good as we got to see what we wanted by just following road signs. Try donig that in Malaysia.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_e2OMNlYqoVI/SHrdLJU7t4I/AAAAAAAAAII/QxqVwuRI_2A/s320/DSC_0574.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5222729901441529730" />

And in between the getting lost and looking for directions, we managed to squeeze this group photo in. It's everyone who went for the trip posing with the car that they were in respectively. Not too shabby eh?? Well, I guess that's all. There is loads of photos actually, but it's just too hard to put all of them in. So I'll show you all the photos when I get back. That's a promise.

Phillip Island

This is one of 2 post that I will be updating. Both of these post will be on the trips that I just went on during my holidays. This is the second of these 2 trips. I choose to put this first because this is the more boring trip among the 2. I don't know why, but seeing animals doesn't intrigue me that much. I'm only interested in scenery. I feel they are more interesting than animals.

We went Phillip Island mainly to look at the penguin parade. Before that, the tour agency brought us to look at other animals as well. There were a lot of kangaroo there. It was ok, not too great. But not too bad as well. I can't really show you any photos because I forgot to bring my camera out again. But I do have some photos. Most of them have my friends in it. So I can't really post up those photos now can I?

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_e2OMNlYqoVI/SHWaCUake5I/AAAAAAAAAHQ/BKPTTvTzWNE/s320/DSC_0693.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5221248707636525970" />
Here's a photo of the penguin. I think that's all I can say about this trip. Like I said, it was rather boring for me, but not for my friends. I guess we have different interests then.

Getting into routine...

Eversince I've been here, my life have slowly taken a routine. It has slowly changed from a spontaneous lifestyle into a rather predictable life. It has slowly created a routine that I followed sunconciously. And I have taken notice of this of late. Allow me then, to ilustrate what is my week like.

Nothing really happens on Mondays except Monday blues. Even witt that, it has not stop me from attending most of my tutorials. Then from time to time, a few friends and I will have a kick around. It's so convenient that we do not need to pay for rental. They allow anyone to use the court before noon and not charge anything. Then either at 11 or 2, I'll meet up with my friend Amelia, and we'll have lunch then we'll take the bus back to Clayton together.

Tuesday is one routine that I didn't know I could keep. On this day of the week, it is my healthy day of the week. Every single Tuesday, I woke up at 8, buys lunch which is caesar salad. Then will go to Caulfield for badminton. Finally dinner would be sandwiches. It is amazing that I could keep this routine for so many weeks. Never, on a Tuesday have anything unhealthy passed through my mouth into my stomach. Not even one piece of biscuit, ot butter cookie. Just the salad and sanwiched. Impressed? So am I.

Wednesday will be the dullest among all. This is the day I have nothing to do at all. Apart from grocery shopping in the morning, there is nothing else. I walk about a kilometre and half to Pinewood Shopping Centre to buy my groceries, grab my lunch from Subway and headback. Some of you would wonder whether is there a bus going to and from there. The asnwer is yes. But I feel like walking there and lugging all my purchase back with me. In the afternoon? Generally I just laze around doing nothing. I'm pretty good at that actually. Lazing around doing nothing I mean.

Both Thursday and Friday will be rather long and tiring for me. For both days, my day ends at 9 at night and starts at 9 in the morning. On Thursday, my french class finish at 9. Mind you, this is extra class that I decided to take. Next semester would be Spanish. On Fridays, I'll be having badminton from 6 to 9. So all in all, it's a long week whichever way you see it. It's either a long day of doing nothing, or a long day doing too much. The same goes for the weekends, I don't really do much.

Family in Athens

Ok, after several times that my sister started to nag me with the blogging stuff, and she suggested to post something on this post, so here goes....

Our dear cousin, Mr Leong Per Kin made a trip to Athens to visit me and we had such a great time. It is always good to have family visiting, and also for myself to get a chance to go around Greece - to kill two birds with one stone - since I am still new to the country. I did not follow them to Santorini, so its up to PK to upload the rest of those pictures. haha..I only have a few pictures. LIke 3 of them which he uploaded to the facebook, and which I think I still look like a fat pig from it. haha..So here goes and enjoy..

This was dinner first night at my place. You know, the.. Teenage problem section..

Where a girl wrote in saying that she is close friends with a guy... and found out that he liked her.. she only liked him as a friend, and later did all sorts of things to make him dislike her, so that he would give up liking her.. but she doesn't want to lose his friendship... so now she is asking what to do....

It's a typical scenario for a girl... when a guy likes a girl who is not interested in him... be very prepared for the cold shoulder, and the invisible man technique... It's cruel.. I know.. And it hurts...

I won't deny it, I've done it myself.. But honestly to a girl, we don't know any other way to deter a guy from giving up on us... If we still treat him like he is there, majority of the guys won't give up.. and just because we are still treating them decently, they think that they still have a chance... and well to us, what ensues later, is no different from harassment...

Sometimes even when the girl already has a boyfriend, these guys just don't know when to quit. So I'm sorry, yet not very sorry for the guys... and also for the girls who are found in this predicament...

Now, what happens if that person is a close friend whom you don't wish to lose? it's a very delicate situation... You could very well lose his friendship, and trust me, I know... (I've lost a friendship over this...)

a lot of friendships have been lost this way, unless it so happens that both parties have an open and understanding mind... which is rare... very rare...

But it still happens sometimes, and most of the time, the majority of guys, who are close to a certain girl, tend to fall for that girl.. it's natural, it happens.. what is the girl to do? some of us, give the cold shoulder.. some drop hints that they aren't interested, or tell the guy that they like someone else..etc... the braver ones, will just say.. sorry, but i only see you as a friend... (but this can only be used if the guy confessed...)

But how many of us girls are brave enough to just say it outright? not many.. it's a tough predicament... it always ends with one side getting hurt... and well.. i think in this case the girl is right... it's better to cut the diseased tree down at the root, when it's still a sapling, rather than to wait for it to become a full grown tree, before cutting it down.. at that time the pain is even more...

I personally believe in doing that, i might get seen as a bitch or a heartless woman, but i think it's the best method... to cut of the infatuation, in whatever way, when it's still a young sapling...

For example.. if this guy is interested, and if i consider him a possible candidate, and I'm single and available... fine, I'll give him a chance, but the problem with me is my analytical skills, which more often than not, tends to be true.. so after going out a few times.. if I notice that he is only suited to be a friend..

I cease all actions, which may indicate that I'm interested, and drop loads of hints that i treat him only as a friend..if he is direct with me, I'll be direct too.. (i.e if he confesses.. if not, it's only hints, as said before.. i won't say anything unless he does.. i don't want to be overly-sensitive...)

If i find that your personality doesn't match with mine.. I'm sorry but it's no point in starting a relationship.. it may seem like i was leading you on, then dropping you like a cold block of ice.. but I'm still your friend... and as i said, it's better that i quash your hopes before you become really serious..

A lot of people don't realise the other parties intention, and always think that party cruel.. but how many of you actually stop to put yourself into that person's shoes? not many.. we only see it on the surface.. like.. "what a bitch.. leading him on, then dropping him like a hot iron..."

It's being cruel to be kind.. why enter into a relationship, that may last maybe a year or two, find out you are incompatible, and break up? and admist all that, cause so much tears and heartbreak. Because mind you, feelings do come up during that time... like.. example, I'm so used to having him around or something.. or that the girl actually likes the guy, vice versa, but the personality really does clash.. it's like you can't have two stubborn or talkative persons in a relationship.. you need a balance (ying and yang).. if they are both moderately stubborn, or talkative i guess it can still survive.. but still.. it's a lot of give and take... all relationships are give and take...

And a problem with most guys are.. that they tend to refuse change, strongly!

thinking "why the hell must i change for her?" and most girls going "oh, he will change for me, because he loves me..", resulting in loads of arguments and tears...

i believe, what you see, is what you get with guys... most people don't realise that it's give and take in a relationship, and take it for granted... it's not only like, sharing the bills.. it's also personality wise... sometimes, we REALLY do have to change our personality for the one we love (be it your lover, family or friends)..

so if you know him to be a selfish, materialistic, ignorant, egoistic brat.. even as just a friend, and IF he shows some interest in you... AND IF you can't take that type of personality, don't even bother about him changing for you, once you are in a relationship, the chances are at least 99% that he won't! (he should change BEFORE ENTERING into a relationship with you!!)

some may argue, that by cutting the tree at the root, you aren't even giving it a chance to grow, who knows, it might actually grow up to be a strong tree... well, i guess that's just the risk, that most of the female community take.. And there are some who take the risk.. actually quite a huge number.. but i guess i'm not included in that statistics haha..

Also, bear in mind that females think with their heart and their head.. if our heart gets shattered it's not easy for us to recover.. I'm not saying that it's easier on the guys.. but as far as i know.. at least 60-70% of guys recover much faster than girls... I don't know why, maybe it's true what they say that men think with their balls and head, or it could be that they weren't really serious...

but i think that because, the majority of men, tend to be more rational creatures than women.. not really being affected by matters of the heart, they will be going.. "what's the point of moping?" and just move on.. unlike women, who would go through again, and again, and again, and again.. and again... and goodness knows, how many more times, they will keep going through it again.. trying to analyse what went wrong...

It's true when we say that men are from Mars and women from Venus.. (but somehow i managed to understand them considerably well, not totally, but i would say well enough, which planet does that make me from? no wonder i can't find a partner.. i need one from the same planet haha )

oh and how do guys reject girls? As far as i know, but i stand corrected...(maybe you guys would like to give your opinions on this..)

they actually do it about the same way as us... i mean, they are flattered and all, that a girl is showing interest in him.. but most men, being more bold, just tells her sorry, and if they really mean it, the girl stops trying after a few times.. unlike men... sheesh... (some men just don't know when to give up.. and well i guess it's because most females are more timid by nature, so they give up easily, then feel depressed, that they aren't good enough etc..... )

Well that is if the girl confesses.. Most, if not all guys are very dense when girls are dropping hints that she likes him... and i guess that explains it all =.='

Some men, do have women stalkers.. and i pity them.. but i digress..

about the scenario mentioned earlier.. i think that girl was immature in handling this.. i've been through that scenario a few rare number of times, and well, I'm still friends with them... at some point i may have given them the cold shoulder when my hints didn't work.. but i always try to go back and patch things up.. and no matter what.. i won't forget their birthdays or things like that, and always make it a point to wish them.. and let them know that as a friend, i will always be there.. but as a friend only, nothing more...

some were smart enough to realise that i only liked him as a friend nothing more.. and well to those who didn't, and, or actually had enough courage to tell me how he felt.. i respect him, it takes a lot of courage to confess, but sorry, I only like you as a friend, and i will tell that to you a thousand millions times, as many as it takes to make you realise...

And well, the most i can do, is to distant myself first, till you get over your feelings.. but i will always welcome you as a friend again, when you have gotten over your feelings, and whoever you find after that, i will sincerely wish you.. all the best :)

but that's just me.. but if it's for the greater good (i.e for my friend's benefit, regardless of situation, and gender.. in the long run, --- meaning it doesn't only apply to such a situation, and it applies to family too).. i don't mind being the bad guy....

Besides.. no matter how much, some of the guys claim that i would make a good girlfriend.. i think I'm only a good friend. About me being a good girlfriend, that would be another matter, and i don't think the poor guy, will be able to stand my demanding character... haha.. I'm doing the male species (homosapience only) a huge favour here haha

-Oracl3-

Malaysian Perverts, how to deal with them

"Fiat justitia et pereat mundus"
-"Let justice be done, though the world perish"-

This is the "Clean" i.e. (censored version) & somewhat scaled down version of this post (meaning no foul language in this one.. PERVERTS!!! DIE!!!!!!!
May all perverts be cursed for seven generations, and die a horrible death!!! Yes, I'm evil for cursing, but I'm sure all victims share my sentiments....

So since today was a criminal procedure tutorial, and my lecturer is an active criminal lawyer, well versed in Malaysia's Criminal law, I decided to ask him, what can we poor unsuspecting women do, the next time we meet such a pervert?

Bear in mind our Malaysian Law, The Criminal Procedure Code [CPC], [Act 593], [Revised- 1999] provides for punishment of those sick-os.... (all Statutes are quoted from there...)

Section 354 of the Penal Code reads as:

Assault or use of criminal force to a woman with intent to outrage her modesty.

The Accused may be arrested by the police with or without warrant.

In the first instance, a warrant shall be ordinary issued.

It is a bailable offence

It is not compoundable, and

It is punishable with Imprisonment for ten years, or fine, or whipping, or any two of such punishments.

For the laymen, that reads as:

For someone who is caught molesting a woman...

A warrant is not needed to arrest him, i.e. you don't need permission from the authorities to capture such a pervert, so a citizen arrest would be fine too... provided that you hand him over to the police ASAP.... (Section 27(1) CPC: Any private person may arrest any person who in his view commits a non bailable & seizable offence... Shall without unnecessary delay hand over the arrested person to the nearest police officer/ police station... Notice the problem here is "Non Bailable offence"? So we shall head to Section 27(2) CPC: If there is a reason to believe the arrested person falls under the provisions of section 23 the police officer shall re-arrest him... what is section 23 then?... Section 23 CPC: The police may arrest without a warrant, any person... or against whom reasonable complaint has been made.... To cut a long story short, just do as above...)

Honestly, I'm not very sure about the 3rd point... but according to Mel, my classmate (thanks, dear), it means that when you want to bring that pervert to court for the first time (Court of first instance), a warrant will be issued...

A bailable offence, under section 387 of the CPC, means that any police officer in charge of a police station (OCPD), or any police officer not below the rank of Corporal or the court, if he thinks fit, can discharge the pervert on executing a bond.. The court then can set bail for him, provided it's not excessive but sufficient to secure the attendance of the person arrested (section 389 CPC) --- for those who don't know what a bail is, it's a certain amount of money, determined by the court, that the accused has to pay into court so that the pervert can walk around outside of prison, till the date of his trail...

It is not compoundable means that happily, he can't just offer you money and walk away scot free, he has to be judged by the court; Or next, we will get a rich pervert feeling up our derrière... But I guess if you have money, please go to the Red Light District, i.e. Chow Kit Road...

Well this section is punitive in nature i.e. meant to punish the pervert, so he has to either rot in jail for 10 years, unless he can pay his way out of it (I guess, following the wording....), or receive some strokes of the whips (to cut down on his jail time?), or he can be both fined and jailed, or fined and whipped, or whipped and imprisoned, or any 2 combination of the 3 punishments! LET'S GET THEM ALL WHIPPED AND IMPRISONED, I DON'T CARE IF YOU ARE THE SOLE BREAD WINNER, YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW!!!! Die! You Pervert!!

Okay, so now that we have the law, the second issue is, how do we use it? To put it in another way...

How on earth do we convict those perverts?

An interesting question I posed to my lecturer.. "How do we convict these perverts?" My reasoning was that, usually they molest you in public crowded areas, that means no CCTV, and no one can see what's going on.

It's human nature that they don't usually look below or above eye level, and it so happens that your derrière is below eye level. There's no evidence left behind. As in my case, since his finger touched my waist (ARGHHHH!! disgusting), IF we had the technology, we could, as a matter of fact, acquire his fingerprints right of my body, to be used as evidence... IF.....

Without CCTV to record his actions, or even with CCTV, it's crowded and it will be so difficult to record, how then do you catch that pervert?

My lecturer suggested slapping the sick-o....

Which leads me to the question..
Then won't I be charged with assault instead? Which could very well result in me sitting in prison for one year or being fined RM2000 or both... (Section 323 Penal Code: Voluntarily Causing Hurt)

But according to my lecturer, My testimony, (That the pervert<s></s> was molesting me) would seem stronger in court. I don't really see a way to convict the pervert, unless he pleads guilty.

If he pleads guilty, then that would be the end of it, but if he doesn't plead guilty, and instead counter claims against me for slapping him.. What do I do then? Though my lecturer assured me that as everyone will see me, had I slapped the pervert... and that would hold my case...

Not a very good explanation if you asked me, but I guess the pervert would be embarrassed enough not to commit the act again, afraid of someone who may take action against him...

But in my case, hitting that bloody pervert wasn't an option, as there was a person in between that slimeball and I... GRRR....

Well, what I personally advise is, if you can't reach the pervert to give him a slap...scream, shout, do whatever... get the attention of the public that some pervert is feeling you up.. I mean, say things like "Hey Pervert, Get your hands dirty off my derrière"

And well, if the bloody pervert is near enough for you to give him a slap or even better yet, to reduce surface area, so that you don't have to touch the slimball too much.. give that stinking slimeball a punch.

But before you do so, please ensure that you have no previous records/anyone that can testify that you are randomly violent by nature (i.e. you don't simply hit the streets whacking people).

That way if he turns around and charges you for assault instead, you can just follow his lead and plead not guilty, though his claim will most probably be not valid, because you made a claim first that he was molesting you (which is a criminal offence) and if I recall correctly there are some principles/maxims in Criminal law:

A right cannot arise from a wrong.

No one shall take advantage of his own wrong

No man ought to derive any benefit of his own wrong

So there you go... Ball your fists, and...... HIT THE pervert WITH ALL YOUR MIGHT!!!! At least if he doesn't get convicted, you had your revenge.....

-Oracl3-

"Fiat justitia ruat caelum"
-"Let justice be done, though heaven falls"-

Inter Halls Badminton

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_e2OMNlYqoVI/R_jEjWmncqI/AAAAAAAAAHI/WbMCUQUbEtM/s320/P1010006.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5186111082559140514" />

As you can see above, that's me playing badminton. I represented my hall in the Inter Halls Badminton Competition. I just can't keep my ass away. Ha ha ha!!! My hand is itchy. I just need to play some. It's been a long time since I have played competitively. But it's not that long that I have played badminton. I can say I play more regularly than I do back in Malaysia. Here I play every Tuesday and Friday. And sometimes if I feel like it I'll even play on Sunday.

It is mixed doubles only, and the format is round robin. Which is you play a certain amount of games, in this case that's 6 and you see where you're standing on the table. Then the top for will advance to the semi-finals. Supposedly, each pair is only to play 1 game, or maybe 2 games at most. But for me, out of the 8 games that my hall were involved in, I played 4 games. Why? I was considered the best player in the hall. ~savouring the moment~ Can you believe it? The best player?

So my record was 2 wins and 2 losses in the entire competition, and my hall came in third overall. I could have actually got probably second if I could have gotten a better partner. Well, I can't complain much. The halls are actually short on talent anyways. So nothing much can be done. If Yen Ling were here, I think first is not a problem. But too bad.

They will have this Inter Halls Swimming Competition coming up though. As the ever competitive Ben, I'm definitely going to join that although I do not know how they are going to do it. This will mean I will have to start swimming again. It's been a couple of months that I have not swim. I'll need weeks to get back to the way I was swimming before, and I'll need more time to be swimming competitively without any coaching. This is going to be a hell of a few weeks.

New encounter

You know what, living in the halls (halls is short for halls of residence, which is where I'm staying) I expect to meet all kinds of people from different background. And that is what I got. And I have never expected to meet some of the people that I have actually met.

Prior to this, I thought Yen Ling and I were stingy. To my surprise, I meet someone who is worst than the both of us. He was one of the people within the group that I share groceries with. So usually when we cook, it'll be for a group of 5 and the groceries will be shared 5 ways. So the math was simple - take the total amount and divide by 5. Guess what he did? He actually audited my calculation and went through all the stuff we bought to make sure it is there. I mean can you believe that? He actually went though the receipt, to see which is which. Comparing the receipt to the stuff in the fridge.

Another thing he did that annoys me was that he is the anti-social type. We once invited him to go have dinner at this Monash Pizza and Pasta shop. And you know what was his reply? "Don't want la, I got something to do." I was like "What the heck?" I'm a second year student, and I'm not as busy as he is. Plus, he's in his first year and taking the same unit as I am. And I wasn't as busy as he is. Heck, I could even go for a movie every weekend if I could afford it then.

I'm not saying that he has to go out for a movie every weekend. What I'm trying to point out is that he has to try to relax a little. He has to be a little bit more outgoing. I'm not sure he even plays any sports. The only time I see him is when we go for grocery shopping and meal time. Apart from that, he just lock himself in his room doing god knows what. The funniest thing I find about him during this Easter break is that he has been telling us that he has to do his assignment since the beginning of the holiday, and until now he has yet to complete it. What the hell is he doing in his room then? It took me only 3 days to finish that assignment. haih...

Enough about that. I am just so frustrated these few days and I just want to let off steam. Another thing that I realize is most of my new friends here which are malaysian by the way have help from their parents with their packing and luggage. Some even have their parents followed them over. Me? My parents never touched my breifcase, did not help with packing, and definitely did not follow me over to settle in. That was my wish. So does that make me wierd?

I mean for them, their parents played some part in their moving abroad to study. Me? The only part my parents played was giving me frustration and paying the bills. I'm just like any other ordinary kid, trying to go through university to get a certificate so that I could get a reasonable job. But why am I so different from them in so many ways?

Magdalene's Wedding....

Finally!! The last post for the Lim Family's September 2007 Australian Saga... Posting this on two sites is kind of tiring, (since i had to sort, and edit both posts to fit both blogs, or sentences might have been left hanging etc...)

Although i'm only loading the pictures once, but my connection uploads really, really slow, or i think it's blogger's fault, because even last time (when i was in the UK) when i had to post pictures, it takes eons to load.. so that's it for the Australian trip, and maybe later i will post somthing here bout my tour guide stint for my brother's girlfriend in December.. but that is another story...

As usual, if i post my Malaysian Tour Guide stint, Generation Lim will get a cut down summarised version as compared to my original blog... So, it's something for everyone to look forward too.. (or not....)

But i digress, and now time for the commentary & pictures...

The night before the wedding, saw us being invited to a brewery called the Mash brewery for a round of drinks & snacks sponsored by the bride and groom.. it was a very lively event, as the friends and relatives of the bride and groom sat down together to drink, and chat... (the Snacks weren't bad either..)

It even seemed as if the bride and groom were having a reunion with their friends.. it looked fun, and as for me, i tried different types of brew (beer?).. and discovered there is more to beer than just barley hops, but the combination of many other things.. an interesting event...

The travelling companions (haha, ok part of the Lim Family) all sitting together at a table, enjoying the drink and food... Now, on to the Wedding Dinner, which was held in a golf course's (i think, can't remember...) ball room...

it was really romantic, with the chandelier, and all the candles.. it had a quaint feel with all the barrels stocked by the side..

The Lim Family at the wedding dinner..... i should be standing at the back, since i'm kind of tall, and therefore will block people.. but i didn't have time.. as i had to pass my camera to someone to help us take the picture...

A cousin Picture!! (and also a lot of grammatical and spelling errors, because i didn't edit it before posting, and i posted them all at some ungodly hour, thus was tired and sleepy...) there is also a post dedicated to the food, we ate while on our journey..

Though the pictures here and there will be the same, (as i was lazy...) as Oracl3 is my blog, so most of the pictures are of me.. and i still haven't acquired the other pictures from my other relatives... hence the lack of pictures as well..

though when i sorted them through to be posted, i only had my blog in mind and not this.. hence the seemingly narccisstic side of me haha.. but oh well. for more pictures, and a longer commentary, help yourselves to the links below...

By the way most of the group pictures were taken by uncle robert (i think) so i still don't have the pictures from him, hence the lack of group pictures... or i would have liked to post more since this is a family blog after all.... if i ever get my hands on it, and if the slide show goes up, i will post it there..

Cross posted to...

Starting point: Stop 1 & will be long, and there will be quite a number of pictures. so if your bandwith is a money sucker.. i'm sorry, live with it.. haha..

Also as the travels itself was so damn bloody long. Our cousin, Magdalene's wedding, will be in a separate post...when and if i get down to it, that is..

most of the pictures that will be shown on my australian post unfortunately, will be similiar to the one on oracle, except oracle will have more pictures... reason being, my bandwith sucks, and i'm too lazy to upload to both sides, when i can jsut upload to one, and just cut and paste the html...

so yeah, i'm lazy... (how many times have i said that =.=')

Well, that's all for now.. i was considering separating the australian post to two for this blog.. considering its absurd length, but yes.. yet again.. i'm lazy.. haha

so happy easter everyone.. and await the australian trip :p

-Oracl3-

Votes tallied

Tsk, tsk..

Youths now adays, really have no interest in exercising their rights.. sigh...

The votes have been tallied, with only one person who voted.. (Good afternoon Greece)

Well, well, I think this is my first post from me. And as some of you might already know; for my sister especially, I have arrived in Athens, GREECE!. Yep, the land of blue sea, good food, Greek loudness and most of all GREEK POLITICS!.

Well, my first experience in this place I won't say that it is not good. I have to say, for Greek Standards, it went pretty smoothly. I started my new job on Monday. Running around sorting out my legal issues and administration issue. 3 days at work, and things are going smoothly I think. TILL, I ARRIVE TO WORK EARLY THIS MORNING!??? Electricity went out. Why? Well the Greeks are on strike. Which is most annoying, and my bad timing adding on to it. The reason for the strike as most of you might have already read in BBC , if not, go there. It is due to the government wanting to increase the retirement age, but decrease the pension funds. That is what I hear, but based on BBC, it seems that everything looks positive. I don't know. The Greeks react to almost everything.

So, what happened. Monday everything went on smoothly. Went to the police station, to get some documents notarized and continue working. Tuesday, GOD DAMN IT! Tuesday was so bad, because the train service was on strike, so everyone had to take their car, the bus or to take the taxi.

It took me like 30 minutes to wave for a taxi to get to work and to get back as well. Sigh...And followed by that; when I went back, my friend, Ioanna who was at my place told me the power went off. I was like. Ok.. Here I am frustrated that I cannot hail a cab to go back, but to add on top of that, there is no power.

Lucky for me, it went back on after I reached home after 15 minutes when I had lit so many candles. haha..but its ok. At least Ioanna got the ones that smelt nice with vanilla flavor. Then today, everything was on strike. ALL PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION!!

Mind you, the place I stay is very convenient with buses and metro everywhere. I have two metros which is like 5-10 minutes walking distance to work and the office is only 2 stops away from the station. So, I came into work. Set up my computer...and BLACKOUT! haha...surprisingly I remained so calm that I was like..hmm..whatever... So, this is the beginning of my journey.

I have no idea what the 4th day will be for me. But we will see. So far, I have to get used to the people, the environment and the STRIKES....hehe

Besides that, my friends have been helping me alot. My co workers are nice. It's still too early to say, but this is as far as I can go. :)

Since this is my first post, I am not going to dwell on it too much. To let you guys know, if you want to reach me, my mobile number is +30 xxx xxx xxxx. I will get a second number soon, hopefully by next week, depending on when the company will give it to me. But any one of you wanting to come for a meditaranean tour, let me know.

Φιλακια Πολλα (Many kisses)

Take care...cioa..

Edited By Oracl3: Lil Devil's Mobile number has been removed, because I fear online predators, and the hassles it will bring. Since we are all family; if you want her number that badly, catch her on MSN.
Though this raises the issue of whether, we should start making this blog private. It is an issue I will look into, and maybe set up a poll.. but first, let us settle the issue about the slide show.. Thanks..

Due date for polls

I don't seem to be getting any feedback from our authors.. or... readers.. but please remember to cast your vote for the slide show located 2 posts below this. Although there's only one so far, I wouldn't fancy doing another elongated post just to welcome people. It's too troublesome. So I'll do it in one post snd when there's newcomers in the future, they can just refer to this post. Either that or I'll just repost this again. haahhahahaha!!!!

Well, the purpose of this blog has been stressed quite a couple of times on separated occasions. It is to help bridge the gap among those within the family. Those who are in what we now call - Generation L. The contributors of this blog does not only limit to our generation. Our older generation can also contribute if they want, or I should rather say if they are up to the task of learning how to use this. I really do not mind that as the more contributors there are, the merrier this blog seems, and that is what the Lim family trully represents - noise.

Irregardless of physical distance or age distance, we san still forge a close knit among us. That is the one and only mission and vision of this blog. At least that's what I think it is. Anyone care to correct me if I'm wrong? Or add in what I have left out? Things do change over time you know? And I might have a different thinking and perception of the main purpose of this blog to others. So maybe we should list out the purpose, missiong and vision of this blog. hahahahahaha!!!!!!

Anyway, welcome one and all and feel free to post anything here. Jokes, nonsense, life's troubles, anything you like. Just try to keep it clean. Well actually, there's no need for that yet as all the contributors and readers I'm sure are of age. If you are not, then you are not authorised to view this page. Naw!!! I'm just joking. If you are under age, please make sure that you have parental guidance for the use or enjoyment of this information. Naw!! Again, I'm joking. Actually, you can view it all you want. Frankly, I would suggest they do because children these days are just too well protected by their parents. So as the older generation (we are actually not that old), we should do our duty to 'educate' those entrusted under us. hahahahaha!!! Yet another purpose to add to the list (if there is ever a list).

Well, I guess that's it from me. Until next time, See ya!!!

Welcome Lil' Devil!!

ATTENTION: All Members. To know why, jump over to my blog, the political situation has turned really exciting in Malaysia, with a huge wind of change that has brought about a shocking tsunami to our Malaysian government.

A totally unexpected result, from the Malaysians...

So enough of that (means if you want to know more, read my blog..), and we shall now look to the decisions of our citizens of Generation-L on the two decisions posed to them:

1. Should we have the player on autoplay? &
2. Shall we have a slideshow on this blog, featuring family photos, gatherings etc?

The results for the 1st poll has come out as a plain and simple.. "NO"

We had 6 voters, and 4 out of 2 had said that they don't want the player on autoplay. Well I do admit, that it will slow down the bandwith, and it loads as it plays, so the song sounds sort of broken, and irritating.. That, I guess was our main reason...

Verdict: It's plain and simple, it's democratic, so we follow along with the wishes of those who exercised their right to vote. The player remains as it is.

For the second poll... ahh, for this we have a huge difficulty, as it seems that our voters are only interested in the player, and they didn't vote about the slide show. It could be that they are still deciding, but a decision is indeed hard to reach when you've only had 4 voters and 2 have voted "Yes", and the other 2 "No"..

It's a tie and it's impossible to make a decision.

Thus a new poll will be held to determine, if we shall have a slide show featuring our family pictures. Here are the details, to aid the rest of you in making an informed choice.

1. The site which i will be using to put up the slide show will www.slide.com, check it out.

2. I'll create the account, and give each of our authors, the ID and password.

3. The authors themselves must upload the pictures that they wish to be on the slide show
--> Reason being, I personally don't have all the family pictures, or your pictures, and we don't meet often. This is way more convienent.

4. If you would like a sample of how it will look like on this blog , head over to Oracl3 to check it out. When the new blog layout is done, it will most probably be similar to Oracl3 as it will be done by the same person. So the slide show on this blog will be in the same position as that.

5. I profess that, I'm not very sure about this, as i haven't used slide.com for over a year, but most probably, after uploading the pictures, the html codes on this blog needs to be refreshed. (unlike the music player) If you know how to handle html codes, you could do it yourself, or you could drop me a message, and I will do it when I'm free.

6. To be fair, each member will only be allowed to upload a certain number of pictures. This is to be revised later, and following my discretion as this blog's moderator.

But don't worry, this quota is just to ensure that everyone gets to upload the pictures that he or she wants. If you have exceeded your quota, based on my discretion, and the number of pictures posted, I may grant you permission..

Note--> However, this quota requirement will only be placed into practise if we have too many pictures on the slideshow.. So basically it's just to control an overflow..

So now, on to our poll.. Please ensure that everyone votes, so that we can reach a consensus..

The same rules apply, you may only cast your vote once, so think carefully!!

~~
Unfortunately for me, my attempts in roping in our other cousins of the Lim family has not been very successful, I therefore appeal to the other authors to do your part, (even if you consider your sibling a brat, just invite them in, they are still family) and help to rope in our other cousins to contribute to the blog.

The author's work is fairly simple:

1. Just post about yourself

2. Just post about what is going on around you, where are you now, any new adventures, how's life, how are your kids etc.. (There's plenty of things to write.. Share your pretty pictures, you can even be poetic here..)

3. Family gossips are allowed based on discretion, this is the World Wide Web, we don't want to launder our dirty laundry.
--> BUT please note, if we garneer enough authors, (And also if there are too many dirty secrets getting out haha) this blog may be made private, and the only people who may enter to read this blog will be the people that we choose.

4. Basically, use this place to bond with the other cousins, to tell the other cousins how you are doing etc

5. Please keep all posts decent enough for general viewing, because as dirty as you might want to get, some of our cousins are still, if contributing or reading, of minor age.. haha.. though we could educate them?? haha

Well, that's all for now, remember no matter how busy you are, it doesn't hurt to spare some time for family :)

-Oracl3-

Generation Lim's Elections??

<blink style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;">Here's our very own poll</blink>,

Well 2, to be exact.. like the real elections, you will have to cast two votes.. and you can't vote again, so think hard and think well.. The introductions doesn't count. I'm talking about proper updates. LOL... Well, it's been a week now that I'm in Australia. Quite a few things had happen since I have been here. Not as boring as I would have thought, at times. It's only boring when there isn't any activities going on. So I guess I'll go through everything for you guys.

Monday
Nothing much really happened on this day. I took a early morning flight from Gold Coast to Melbourne. Checked into my accommodation here at Farrer Halls at about 1 something in the afternoon. Then for the rest of the day, I just went exploring the surrounding areas nearby. Got my dinner and a few other stuffs. Pretty accomplishing by my standards.

Tuesday - Thursday
On these 3 days were my orientation over at Uni. Practically, they just have all kinds of activities to help us settle in, help us familiarise ourself with the campus area, and practically just letting us have fun and enjoy ourselves. On tuesday however, we went to Chinatown for sightseeing. Sorry, no pictures because I totally forgot about bringing the camera. In fact, I forgot that I actually DID bring the camera with me. No, I didn't lose it again. It's still with me. That is why you will be seeing photos in the next section.

Friday
Well, Nothing much happened in the day, as ever. Everything started after 6.45pm. That was the time that the busses were supposed to leave the Halls of Residence to this place called Red Scooter for our welcoming dinner. With Malaysians in the group, it is expected that delays would happen. Hence, the busses only left about 7pm to 710pm like that.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_e2OMNlYqoVI/R7fsEkdE69I/AAAAAAAAAD4/LTB0pHK8uFk/s320/P1010010.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5167858660680199122" />
Red Scooter was a really happening place. It is suitable for our dinner as well. We were greeted with free drinks. As the alcoholic I am, of course I took the white wine available. I actually wanted to try the champagne thought, but I was afraid that it wouldn't be nice and I do not want to waste my free drink. As you can see in the photo, those are the people I sat with. And for your information, no one on my table was doing Bachelor of Business and Commerce. Most of them were doing science and there were some odd ones whereby they took arts and engineering. There were actually exchange students taking business and commerce. They were all over at another table. All sticking to their own field. I guess who was the smarter one? Them or me?

That out of the way, here are some photos worth posting up, becuase I have to pay for my internet now I would not post every single photo I took. It's going to cost me a bomb if I do that. So I'll just put up those that I think are worth seeing. If you want to see the rest, you will just have to see me personally. Which I would not know exactly when that is.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_e2OMNlYqoVI/R7ft2kdE6-I/AAAAAAAAAEA/uIp5Hcnb2Xk/s320/P1010029.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5167860619185286114" />
The girls in the centre are actually doing Mass Communication over at Gippsland. They were here temporarily for the orietation. Then the other 2 person on both side would be my course mates. They are also here on exchange for a period of one year. Guess I wouldn't be alone after all. And the last guy in the centre is actually a friend of one of my friend back in Taylor College. He was our tourguide when we went Chinatown on Tuesday.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_e2OMNlYqoVI/R7ft3EdE6_I/AAAAAAAAAEI/MMYhEwYq-GE/s320/P1010043.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5167860627775220722" />
In this picture, you will have one and a half table combined. All of them are Malaysian students. To tell the truth, it is rather hard to get Malaysians off their butts and do a single thing. Even taking a photo, I have to persuade some of them for about a minute. Can you believe that. A minute! Malaysians. They bring their conservativeness everywhere, even across borders and oceans.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_e2OMNlYqoVI/R7ft3kdE7AI/AAAAAAAAAEQ/TdLJ06rxcU8/s320/P1010044.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5167860636365155330" />
You know what they say about elaving the best for last? Well, I'm leaving the best photo I took of that night til last. This is by far the best photo taken by my camera. She was sitting on my table as well. She's doing arts in Clayton. I do not deny that she's hot. Don't we just look so nice together? Joking...

I guess that's it for now. I'll update again when I have a jumble of stuff. Because I have to pay for my internet everytime I open a new window, so the frequency of me updating would be less but the content might be longer. But I think I shall just write whatever that comes to my mind at this very moment.

As Ben had mentioned, one of the reasons that this blog was started was because one of us needed improvement in her creativity and command of English. That 'her' is actually me. I am a really lazy girl and was only planning to give comments in this blog instead of post something. But, I will still treat this as an introduction nonetheless. Because I'll cover things that has not been covered in the previous introduction.

First, I'll start with the events leading up to the creation of this blog. Actually, this blog is set up to assist the family members in any way. Its original purpose was to help one of us to improve her creativity, improve her story telling ability and increase her command of this language in written form. To sum up, its original purpose is to assist and aid a family member in need. Soon, its mandate evolve to closing the existing gap of our family members. The gap I'm talking about is not only age gap, but also the physical gap of distance. We have relatives in Singapore, New Zealand, Kuala Lumpur, Perak, Johor, London, Prague, and one who is travelling all over. Did I miss out anyone?

Naming of the blog? Well, We couldn't think of any suitable name for a short period. We keep coming up with accronyms. Then, at the end of our meal, Sun (a.k.a. Oracle)
came out with Generation L. This idea was inspired by the existing generation X and generation Y as you can see from the description on the right. Basically, Generation would stand for our generation within the family, and the letter 'L' would be the shortform for the surname that tie us all together - Lim. As you can read from above, you would know that all of us have different surnames, and yet we are still family. There are 12 sibblings in total. That was out mother's generation. One of the sibblings got away. So as far as the family is concern, there are only 11 of them. Still, 11 is a big number. Multiply that with the offsprings that eventually came along, it became an even bigger family.

Within this huge extended family, we have family members working as lawyers and lawyers to be, we have accountants and accountants to be, we have computer programmer, computer technicians, engineer to be, businessman to be, we hav teachers, retired headmaster, retired lecturer, official family photographer, we have family members in design, bio-chemistry, construction, remiscier and nurse. Before I go on, did I miss out any occupation? I hope not, because that is one huge range of professionals within one family. Not to mention most of them are good cooks with a wide range of choices of styles of cooking. If the whole family feels like it, they can actually start their very own restaurant.

With such a huge family, some must think that it would be a little difficult to communicate with each other. Actually, it is difficult given the fact that we have some cousins in New Zealand, Singapore, Johor and scattered all around Kuala Lumpur. We do not see each other very often, but some of us still keep a close knit among ourselves. When it comes to family gathering, we make a hell of a noise no matter where we are. During family gatherings, there is no such thing as age difference or seniority. We can joke around with anyone about anything. You can even have some fun tricking relatives and still everyone will laugh about it with no reprucutions.

Well, I guess that's about all I can say for now. If I miss out anything, the next person who is going to update please follow up on it. It is never good to leave the readers hanging halfway. So I guess that's all for now, L'oncle Ben signing off.

Welcome

Rejoice for it is a Purple Moon, the rare time in which i abuse my seniority to be the first to post. (by only 6 MONTHS...) at the moment of this bunch... So do keep an eye on this space to listen to our interesting antics. And as for relatives, maybe you can hope for some family pictures??

That said, i humbly proclaim the end of my little welcoming ceremony and leave you in the hands of the other two authors to continue this introduction by giving us all a short introduction about themselves ... Oracl3 is therefore.... signing off..

-Oracl3-

P/S: sorry guys that i posted first, i couldn't connect onto msn to inform you guys ==' and i wanted to test the archive. anyway it's your turn to post... :p
